HUNTSVILLE, AL – To cap off their Alabama tour on the road, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's and women's basketball teams will conclude their trip at Alabama A&M on Monday evening at the Elmore Gymnasium.
In the last matchup against the Bulldogs, both men's and women's teams lost at home, with the women's falling 58-48 and the men's 70-50 due to health protocols.
The Lady Lions are coming off a 90-81 loss to Alabama State with a massive performance from Zaay Green, who dropped 31 points, adding nine rebounds on the night with four assists and three steals.
Kaila Walker built on top of Green's performance by adding 21 points of her own, with 12 coming from the line and nine being three-point baskets.
Not satisfied, Green and Walker are looking to bring that same intensity to the floor tonight against Alabama A&M not only to break their two-game losing streak but to get revenge over the Bulldogs.
They will face a Lady Bulldog team coming off a 53-47 win over Mississippi Valley State.
As for the men, the Golden Lions are coming off a huge win over Alabama State with a score of 75-70 on Saturday, hushing the nay-saying.
There weren't any standouts in the win over Alabama State as the team stood out together as a whole, with four players scoring in double figures and every player contributing to their roles on the floor.
However, leading the pack in scoring on Saturday was Kylen Milton with 17 points, followed by Dequan Morris' 16 points, Shawn Williams' 15 points, and Travonta Doolittle's 14 points. Brandon Brown cleaned up well on the glass with 11 rebounds, followed by Omar Parchman's nine boards.
The Golden Lions face an Alabama A&M team coming off a 94-92 overtime win over Mississippi Valley State.
