UAPB Basketball Travel to Warmer Temperatures for SWAC Matchup against Texas Southern

HOUSTON, TX – On Saturday, both University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff basketball teams will square off in their third SWAC matchup this season against Texas Southern at the TSU Health and Physical Education Arena.

The Lady Lions will bring a loaded pack of talent against Texas Southern, starting with Zaay Green, who leads UAPB, averaging 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists per game.

Sade Hudson will play a significant role in the Lady Lions’ success as she brings an average of 11 points and three rebounds to the table.

The Houston, Texas native Joyce Kennerson is glad to be home and wants to put on a show in front of her hometown. Kennerson averages ten points, four rebounds, and two assists per game.

As for the men, after an impressive hard-fought performance and victory against Alabama State on Wednesday, the Golden Lions are locked in and are looking to acquire a winning streak with a win over Texas Southern.

The shifty guard leads the Golden Lions, Shawn Williams, who averages 14 points per game with the highest free throw percentage on the Arkansas-Pine Bluff roster, shooting 94 percent from the line. Williams also adds a four assists average.
