UAPB Track & Field Prepares to Make Statement at the John McDonnell Invite

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – The University of Arkansas men's and women's track team both will travel north this weekend to compete in the John McDonnell Invitational meet in Fayetteville, AR at the John McDonnell field on Saturday and Sunday.


Dominating the outdoor circuit, both UAPB men's and women's track teams will compete in their most competitive track meet yet this season at the John McDonnell Invitational.


UAPB will compete against other teams from the BIG 12 conference, BIG 10 conference, SEC, and also Nike professional athletes.


Junior sensation Safiya John is looking to compete against some of the best around the country at the John McDonnell Invitational after placing first with an impressive jump of 5.86 meters

(19' 2 ¾), last weekend in Jonesboro, AR.


On the men's side, sophomore Deandre Fyffe is ready to make a huge statement in Fayetteville, AR this weekend as well, as he continues his outdoor season destruction for UAPB.


The meet is scheduled to start Saturday morning at 10 a.m. starting off with the discus throw. The meet can be streamed live on the SEC Network +.
